KY CHAN

KY CHAN (CHAN Kai Yin) has been engaged in professional illustration & visual art creation for more than 40 years. He has exhibited his work in form of illustration, painting & installation for 12 solos & more than 40 group exhibitions. KY has had his illustrations published in "i money", ‘"Buddhist Compassion" & "Ming Pao Weekly’" His clients included Swire, Leo Burnett, Oxford University Press & Emphasis Media, etc.

As a member of Para/Site Collective, KY participated in the "50th Venice Biennale" in 2003. In 2005, he was one of the HK delegates attended the "ICON4" illustration conference in San Francisco. KY served as HKSI Vice-Chairman in 2006, 2007 & was elected Chairman in 2008, 2009. He has been an Honorary Member of the Society since 2012. He was also the chairman of organizing committee of the "First Greater China Illustration Awards". Over the years, KY has also appointed as the visiting lecturer of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, UOW College Hong Kong, Birmingham City University, Coventry University, Hong Kong Vocational Training Council & other tertiary institutions to cultivate talents.
