Based on the requests of the director and the Art Director for this poster, I spent about two days shooting non-stop in Hong Kong. The final composition and touch-ups took around two weeks to complete for this commercial project.
I had no idea why the person who approached me thought I could do it, but in the end, I completed it under intense self-doubt. It's that feeling again, where if you don't finish, it feels like the world will end...

To my friend who commissioned me to draw this comic, I deeply apologize for my unprofessionalism and breach of trust. The work was submitted three days past the deadline, and what seemed like a simple comic to others was actually an opportunity for me to exercise my creative freedom, as both the story and the illustrations were left to my imagination.
I have been struggling with how to present my unique style and may have ended up producing a work that only catered to someone else's preferences. I am not used to creating for myself, but this experience has made me determined to start creating for myself, thereby showcasing more creativity and a distinct style.

The story tells of a bio-mechanical robot named Xing, who embarks on a journey through the universe, full of dangers and wonders. The robot's design flaw gives it only a one-day lifespan, but it possesses the unique ability to reproduce on its own. It has no gender and no concept of pregnancy in a uterus. The pregnancy occurs in its heart, and if the umbilical cord is severed after birth, the offspring's life immediately ends. With just one day of life, it can only enjoy its kingdom on that day. The kingdom is called The Last Day Of The Star Kingdom.

This is my pseudonym, which actually comes from the homophonic character "Chong憧" derived from the last character of my Chinese name "Chong沖". I hope people who know me will call me "Chong憧", because my closest family and friends have been calling me that since I was young. The font of "Chong憧" is like a child holding a pen, just like how I liked drawing when I was a child.
"Zzzleep" is the ID I use when playing esports games. I hope it reminds me to approach my creative work with the same joy as playing, and to not neglect rest or meals.
I am a drawing worker who wants to become an illustrator. When I was in design school, my teacher told me that illustrators have a unique painting style, while drawing working complete commissions with basic drawing skills. However, by 2022, I felt like my work was like an AI image drawing software. Although I refer to illustrative techniques, I also want to start establishing my own unique style and character imagery in 2023. I hope to reduce my use of computer graphics and instead use real artistic media, such as pencils, watercolors, markers, oils, and more. Perhaps, when my computer graphics work is completely replaced by AI, I can truly feel the joy of drawing and create more freely without being limited by tools.
