The redevelopment of Yue Man Square in Kwun Tong is the largest urban renewal project in Hong Kong. The colourful temporary public spaces in the illustration were the homes of the old community and shops of various trades. Its future development has become the focus of all Hong Kong citizens.

When we are waiting for a meal in a restaurant in Hong Kong, drinks or sauces must be the first items to arrive on the table. Force of habit requires that we rinse the tableware or stab the lemon slices in a refreshing iced tea. These small daily customs are played out in unique plots that we are too familiar to notice. I decided to record the greetings he received from a small Table Talk.

The Blue House was built in 1922 and re-opened in 2016 after renovation. The project added an elevated veranda, connecting the adjacent Orange House and Yellow House to form a courtyard, collectively known as the Blue House Cluster. The enclosed courtyard has also become an important public space for daily life and events. the Blue House Cluster is a milestone and model of revitalisation project in Hong Kong. It shows the possibility of how an old tenement house can be preserved and continue its life for the community.
 

The Swiss House was built between 1956 and 1962 by Cheong K. Company Ltd. The unique style wording "章記樓宇" on the corner of the building are memorable to many. It is said that Shanghai writer Ni Kuang purchased his first flat on the nineth floor at his 27. This drawing captured the demolition process in July 2024.

Opened in 1950, Mido Café is one of Hong Kong’s most photographed Cha Chaan Tengs. The curved windows on its second floor remain a collective memory for generations. The neon sign however, captured in this drawing, has now been removed.

Established in 1948, the brand Kung Lee is reputable for its rich history. Built in 1920s the grade II historic building was used to be the original campus of the famous Wah Yan College. Endless KOLs were taking photos around when I did this sketch on site.

Sits at 75 Un Chau St. and built in 1930s, this grade III historic building is a home to the family of three-generation traditional Chinese medicine. It hosts a clinic, exhibition hall, indoor archery range and an herbal roof garden.

Built in 1920s, corner building of the five Tong Laus in a row, the Nam Cheong Pawn Shop is a representative of Hong Kong’s pawn broking industry that helped fuel the city’s economy. This Drawing is a capture before the neon signs were removed and renovated by downscaling.
